IMMEDIATE LIFE-THREATENING EMERGENCY?

Do not use an app for heart attacks, severe breathing loss, stroke, or traumatic injury. Call emergency responders immediately.

Critical First Responder Action Protocols

๐ŸŽต CPR Rhythm Metronome โ€” 100 BPM (Hands-Only)

Press the beat dot to start โ€” compression rhythm synced to "Stayin' Alive" by Bee Gees

๐Ÿ’“
100 BPM
Push HARD ยท Push FAST ยท 2 inches deep ยท Chest recoil
CARDIOVASCULAR CRISIS

๐Ÿซ€ Heart Attack Protocol

Signs: Crushing chest tightness, pain radiating down left arm or jaw, cold sweats, breathlessness, nausea.

  1. CALL 911 / 112 IMMEDIATELY. Do not drive yourself.
  2. Chew one adult Aspirin (325mg) or two low-dose baby aspirins (if not allergic). Chewing speeds absorption.
  3. Sit upright with knees bent and back supported to reduce strain on the heart muscle.
  4. Loosen all tight clothing around the neck, chest, and waist.
NEUROLOGICAL CRISIS

๐Ÿง  Stroke F.A.S.T. Protocol

Signs: Sudden facial weakness, inability to raise both arms, garbled or slurred speech, sudden loss of vision.

  1. F โ€” Face: Ask them to smile. Does one side of the face droop?
  2. A โ€” Arms: Ask them to raise both arms. Does one arm drift downward?
  3. S โ€” Speech: Ask them to repeat a simple sentence. Is speech slurred or strange?
  4. T โ€” Time: Call 911/112 IMMEDIATELY! Note the exact minute symptoms began. Clot-busting medication must be given within 3โ€“4.5 hours.
  5. DO NOT give food, water, or medication (swallowing may be impaired).
AIRWAY OBSTRUCTION

๐Ÿ˜ฎ Choking (Heimlich Maneuver)

Signs: Hands clutched to throat (universal choking sign), inability to speak, cough, or breathe; lips turning blue.

  1. Stand behind the person and wrap your arms around their waist.
  2. Make a fist with one hand. Place the thumb side slightly above the navel, well below the breastbone.
  3. Grasp fist with other hand and press hard into the abdomen with a quick, upward thrust.
  4. Repeat thrusts until the object is expelled or the person becomes unresponsive.
  5. If unconscious: lower gently to floor and begin CPR chest compressions.
CARDIOPULMONARY RESUSCITATION

๐Ÿ’“ Adult CPR (Hands-Only)

Signs: Person is collapsed, unresponsive, and not breathing or only gasping occasionally.

  1. Check response: Tap shoulders firmly and shout "Are you OK?"
  2. Call 911 / 112 and put on speakerphone. Send someone for an AED.
  3. Hand placement: Place heel of one hand on center of chest; interlock other hand on top. Keep elbows locked straight.
  4. Compress: Push hard and fast (at least 2 inches deep) at 100โ€“120 beats per minute (tempo of "Stayin' Alive").
  5. Allow full chest recoil between compressions. Do not stop until paramedics arrive or AED is ready.
TRAUMA & HEMORRHAGE

๐Ÿฉธ Severe Bleeding Control

Signs: Blood spurting or flowing continuously from a wound, pooling on the floor, soaking through clothes.

  1. Apply immediate direct pressure: Cover the wound with clean gauze, cloth, or your hands and push down firmly.
  2. Do NOT remove soaked dressings: Add additional layers directly on top and maintain constant heavy pressure.
  3. Elevate: If on an extremity and no broken bones suspected, raise above heart level.
  4. Keep pressure held continuously until emergency medical personnel take over.
ACUTE ANAPHYLAXIS & SEIZURE

โšก Seizure & Severe Allergy

Anaphylaxis: Swollen tongue/throat, hives, wheezing, dizziness after exposure to allergen. Seizure: Involuntary convulsions.

  1. For Anaphylaxis: Administer EpiPen into the outer thigh immediately. Hold firmly for 3โ€“5 seconds. Call 911.
  2. For Seizure: Clear all sharp and hard objects away from the area. Place something soft under their head.
  3. NEVER put anything into their mouth and do not restrain their movements.
  4. Once convulsions end, roll them gently onto their side (recovery position) to keep airway open.

๐ŸŽจ Broadway Boogie-Woogie Design System
Designed after Piet Mondrian's 1942โ€“43 Masterwork
MediSense's visual language mirrors the kinetic rhythm of Manhattan's grid โ€” bold primary colors, thick black lines, syncopated patterns. Just as Mondrian's painting encoded jazz rhythms into a city map, MediSense encodes clinical precision into interactive color blocks. Every tab accent, every shadow offset, every animated ribbon is a visual note in the Broadway Boogie-Woogie score. ๐ŸŸฅ๐ŸŸจ๐ŸŸฆ
